Fertiliser Dryer

Goodman Metal Works completed a design, build and installation project for PB Kent Fertilisers at Immingham.

The project was to replace an aging fertiliser dryer which has a 2550mm OD, 21m long and weighing 66 Tonnes with associated drive and roller supports.

The installation included new support rollers and frames with a chain drive arrangement which also included a stainless discharge box.

The project was awarded early February for a July installation within the PB Kent summer shut down.

Support bogies and track were designed and installed to make the removal and installation as smooth as possible due to the time constraints of the production plant.
