Kite Power

Power generation through harnessing the wind is not a new phenomenon. Wind turbines are something with which we are all familiar but less so with the concept of higher altitude wind forces. The customer solution was to release and retrieve a cable tethered industrial kite to generate usable power.

The project was complex throughout with a need for weld maps and Non-Destructive Testing procedures at every stage of manufacture.

A full assembled piece of equipment was sent to the customer, on time and of high quality that was ready for immediate use in power generation.
